Cline Bettridge Bernstein Lighting Design (CBB) is dedicated to creating sustainable designs that enhance the grace, utility, and comfort of architectural spaces. Francesca Bettridge and Stephen Bernstein established the firm with the late Carroll Cline in 1985. The two play active roles in every project, providing an exceptional level of personal service. The New York based firm is a member of the United States Green Building Council and to date, has designed over sixty LEED® specified projects. CBB designers are at the forefront of new lighting technology. We pioneered the use of LEDs in architectural lighting and constantly strive to utilize newer, more efficient technology. CBB has created a broad range of award-winning work with the nation's leading architectural firms. Our experience includes large corporate, government and hospital projects, schools, libraries, parks, residences, performing arts centers, hotels and restaurants. As an integral part of the team, CBB's designers facilitate communication with architects and clients through the use of mock-ups, renderings and three-dimensional computerized visualizations. We use the latest software to represent spaces and lighting effects, photometric calculations of artificial and natural light levels, and analysis of energy management. CBB designers are adept at anticipating and fulfilling the goals of owners, architects, and interior designers while satisfying the needs of users and facilities staff.
