Michael Hennes joined Cline Bettridge Bernstein Lighting Design in 1987 and has participated in all aspects of the design and production process. His clear understanding of the practical and poetic uses of light earned him a promotion to Associate in 1990 and to Senior Associate in 1995. Mr. Hennes received high honors from the University of Florida with a Bachelor of Design in Architecture. His background in architecture gives him the technical knowledge to effectively use light to complete structural compositions and to clarify the progression of interior and exterior spaces. Mr. Hennes has earned recognition and praise for working on a wide variety of prestigious projects with clients and architects from all over the world. Among his honors are the Illuminating Engineering Society (IESNA) Lumen Award, the Lumen Award Honorable Mention, and the Lumen Citation. He has lectured for the New York Chapter of IESNA, the Designers Lighting Forum of New York and Light Congress, and has also written for LD&A magazine.
