The January 2010 issue of McGraw-Hill Construction’s sustainability-focused magazine, GreenSource, showcases another example of CBB’s expertise in energy-efficient lighting design for today’s science and research facilities. The LEED® certified pending Memorial Sloan-Kettering Mortimer B. Zuckerman Research Center employs lighting methodologies that meet the most current sustainability goals. BAM Facade - Tradition Revitalized

CBB is featured as Traxon Technologies’ “Designer Spotlight” in the fixture manufacturer’s latest e-newsletter. The item praises CBB’s creative design acumen, client service dedication and commitment to sustainability, illustrated in the recent Brooklyn Academy of Music (BAM) exterior renovation lighting . More specifically, the article pays tribute to the company’s pioneering – and continually developing – work in using LEDs in lighting design that is both energy-efficient and visually spectacular.

Best Office of 2009

New York Construction (a McGraw-Hill Construction publication) recently announced the Royal Bank of Scotland Americas Headquarters Building as 2009’s “Best Office” building. CBB designed all interior and exterior lighting for this new, 1,000,000 sq. ft., LEED® Gold pending corporate complex.

Cool Buildings, Fantastic Lighting

Lighting is a prominent design facet of each building featured in Richard McMillan’s 101 Cool Buildings: The Best of New York City Architecture 1999-2009 (available from Amazon). The book depicts the best of New York City’s modern architecture, and CBB is proud to have designed the lighting for seven of these projects.
