The historic 1908 façade of the Brooklyn Academy of Music underwent a major restoration to recreate historic architectural elements in the context of contemporary building design. The youthful energy of the new canopy is accentuated with street-level lighting that is fresh, imaginative and welcoming. LEDs concealed behind the canopy structure can be programmed to create a spectrum of colors for different events.
The lighting design celebrates the old fabric of the building while enhancing its street presence with innovative, modern illumination.
