The lighting is both welcoming and magical at the Overture Center for the Arts in Madison Wisconsin. The Lobby (upper left photo), with its custom glass pendants, is a lively meeting spot that anticipates the theater beyond. In the theater, the lighting was designed to accentuate the sensual curves of the architecture with downlights, continuous bands of low voltage lights along the balcony fronts, and coves of fiber optic light that cascade over the rolling metal ceiling.

The entry rotunda, lit with LEDs arranged in coves on four levels, slowly changes color throughout the evening.
A ribbon of light with a custom designed resin cover encircles a three-story inter-connecting stair.
